1 day and counting

It's tomorrow - unbelievable but true. It seems unreal that a year has passed since my 50th birthday when, at my party, I announced I was doing this Challenge.

Whether you've followed my blog from the beginning, picked it up half way or have only found it last week, thank you. My ramblings are my way of recording the route plans and the events of each actual walk, I hope you've enjoyed them.

You can re-trace my Challenge using the links page right but here are the main events:

I have been overwhelmed with the support everyone has given to me, especially my fundraising page. I had no idea the total would reach over £1000 when I set up the Virgin Money page - again, thank you.

I can remember all the excitement as I wrote my 'Things are moving along' post in August 2015; now it's exciting as tomorrow will be the final three miles and I will have completed the route of the London Marathon.

Life is not always easy for any of us, everyone has things they have to overcome and you cannot measure one person's achievement against another's.

There are amazing athletes winning medals, people walking incredible distances, climbing huge mountains, crossing high seas - all so inspiring and inspirational.

However there are just as many people achieving small things which to them are the mountains, the high seas, the long distances - achievement is personal and whatever we've achieved we should all be proud.

But that doesn't mean we shouldn't push ourselves to the highest achievement  - we all have control of what we do ...... so do it !!

I'm going to have to push really hard tomorrow - yesterday I felt my legs a little unstable but put it down to gm and swim work - unfortunately today I know why, and they still feel wobbly - there's a cold coming !!

My eyes are stingy, sore throat, my glands are coming up, wobbly legs - oh the joy - why now? Colds and MS don't mix very well but it will just have to hold off as nothing will stop me completing my Challenge tomorrow.

None of my 'route marches' would have been possible without my amazing Hubby Nick - he sees how life really is and is an amazing support, without him I wouldn't manage at home never mind walking the London Marathon.

Hubby and me on the train
He's been amazing - even in the rain !!
That's it then - time to pack  my case for our weekend in London with our grown up children. It will be quite a weekend with birthday celebrations, a 3 mile stroll and singing in the Park - here we go !!
