That's a wrap !

Last Sunday we had a small family/friends party to celebrate completing my Challenge. We all met at our local club for a few drinks before walking (yes a little more) home for a buffet lunch.

I cannot thank everyone enough for all their support - donations, messages, just being there. The parry for me was a way of thanking those closest to me, especially my amazing Hubby.

On every route he has been so interested in the history of London, especially when spotting a blur plaque. I was very touched when he had a trophy and medal for me at the finish line - so I had a little thank you gift for him ..... his very own blue plaque!

A very special blue plaque
I love baking - the MS Cake Bake is a yearly event in our house, I really look forward to it each year. It wouldn't be right to have a celebration without a cake - I'm so glad the roads we walked were not straight as my hands can only do wobbly free icing !

The orange ribbon is for the MS Society, the blue for Diabetes UK, the purple for Pancreatic Cancer UK and the red white and blue for the British Paralympic Association - my four charities who I am pleased to announce can share £1350.

I had one final surprise this week - Leicester Tigers have featured my Challenge on their newsletter - you can read it here. I still have to pinch myself that they are talking about me - I can't wait until we go to the match on November 20th.

So that's it - my Challenge is complete - it's been an amazing year full
of so many memories, thank you.

  1. Well done, Clare. I've enjoyed sharing your London marathon experiences with you through your blog during this past year. The article on you in the Leicester Tigers newsletter was good.
